This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, process, use, share and protect information about you. It also tells you how you can access and update your information and make certain choices.

For the implementation of Central Sector Scheme "Promotion of Agricultural Mechanization for In-situ management of crop residue" in the State of Punjab. There are 22 Districts in the State which are further Sub-Divided into 145 Blocks. The implementation of the scheme is supervised by the respective District Collectors and the Chief Agricultural Officers. The Chief Agriculture Officers are responsible for all the activities related to development and promotion of agriculture in the district.

Introduction:

Burning of crop residue causes phenomenal pollution problems in the atmosphere and huge nutritional loss and physical health deterioration to the soil.
Financial assistance @50% of the cost and @80% of the cost on purchase of machinery/ equipment for management of crop residues respectively to individual farmer and cooperative societies/ panchayats/FPOs.

Objective:

To create the online version of existing paper based application of the scheme, which includes collection of applications from the intended beneficiaries, scrutiny/approval of the application, physical verification and disbursement of subsidy to the farmers.
